The UCP in Alberta is currently the provincial government. Danielle Smith, who has received no votes from Albertans, is our premier. They hope to be re-elected in the upcoming election even though their record is abysmal and embarassing.

The UCP are modern conservatives, aligned with the extreme right wing movements seen in the USA. It is well known that these political groups operate in bad faith. If they are upfront, nobody votes for them so they must hide their true agenda. This works particularly well in Alberta, largely due to the inflated influence of rural voters.
